SiteGround is one of the top web hosting platforms and is officially recommended by Wordpress, Joomla, and Drupal. HostingFacts reported a 99.99% uptime during its 8-month test, which is 0.05% higher than the average. HostingFacts explained how SiteGround was able to maintain such a high uptime:
"They built their own proactive server monitoring system that monitors their servers every 0.5 seconds and also proactively fixes any problems without human intervention, thus ensuring amazing uptime."
Another review from Bitcatcha showed that SiteGround has had 100% uptime since 2014! Their platform checks on SiteGround every 5 minutes and has not found any downtime in over four years.

Very few web hosting platforms can reach the 100% uptime promise, and unfortunately, A2 Hosting is one of them. The platform once had a higher uptime, but from December 2017 to September 2018, the average uptime dropped to 99.91%. While this might seem like a "good enough" type of deal, website downtime can cost you $7,900 per minute if you're running a high-traffic site.
Another review website explained that while A2 Hosting does promise 99.9% uptime, there are certain circumstances where they won't honor it:
- During routine maintenance and upgrade periods that are scheduled ahead of time
- During outages that result from circumstances beyond the control of A2 Hosting
Overall, it looks like A2 Hosting might be promising more than it performs in uptime, but it is still a solid choice due to its other benefits.

InMotion Hosting has a very reliable uptime that's on par with the market average. Over the course of 10 months, InMotion Hosting had an average of 99.94% uptime according to HostingFacts, which is the market average. However, multiple months had uptimes of over 99.99%.
Similarly, Bitcatcha tracked InMotion's uptime for multiple months and it averaged 99.96% during that time.
While InMotion might not have a perfect uptime necessary for top Alexa sites, it's reliable enough for an everyday website.

Liquid Web has a very reliable uptime according to all of its online reviews. PC Mag reported the following findings:
"I use a website monitoring tool to track my test sites' uptime over a two-week period. Every 15 minutes, the tool pings my websites and sends me an email if it is unable to contact any of my sites for at least one minute. The data revealed that Liquid Web didn't go down once over the course of those 14 days."
Similarly, Hosting Advice reported an average uptime of 99.995% during its testing period. Basically, Liquid Web has a 100% uptime guarantee and if they don't live up to it, they'll credit your account 10x the downtime.

Based on ratings published by trusted online review sites, FatCow Hosting performs average to better than average in terms of hosting uptime compared to other website hosting services.
The online review website hostingfacts.com, gave FatCow Hosting slightly below average ratings when it comes to hosting uptime versus other hosting providers. See the full review on hostingfacts.com's site. From this review:
In our experience, many of the EIG brands fail to deliver good uptime consistently. (You know, ’cause keeping a website live isn’t important or anything…) FatCow falls right into this trend with .14 worse than the industry average of 99.94%. In a plain flat way of saying – it’s TERRIBLE!
One reviewer on webhostingsecretrevealed.net said FatCow Hosting performs well on hosting uptime relative to its peers. You can read the full review here. Here's a brief quote from this review:
Based on my record – FatCow has been averaging 99.85% – 99.9% uptime. The numbers are not top in class but good enough for a host that charges less than $5/mo.
Based on a review posted on whoishostingthis.com, FatCow Hosting was rated as fairly average for hosting uptime relative to competing web hosting platforms. Check out the entire review here. Specifically, this reviewer pointed out the following:
We've measured our own uptime results on FatCow using Pingdom to get a sense of what to expect. The results so far have showed that the uptime was above 99.9%. The uptime is about as good as you'd hope for on a low cost host like FatCow, so no complaints here.

Unfortunately, no long-term tests have been done to measure domain.com's uptime. The website does not offer an uptime guarantee to ensure reliability and trust.
My only recommendation is to read user's reviews for their own websites to see if domain.com would be a good choice for you.
